About This Course
This course covers assisting the director in the coordination of all production activity, and supervising the cast and crew. The skills include creating a shooting schedule; overseeing the hiring of locations, props and equipment; checking weather reports; and, liaising between the director and the production office.
What you'll learn
By the end of this course, you should be able to
- Liaise between the director and the production office during film production to provide updates on the shoot.
- Break down scripts identifying all production elements for each scene.
- Create the shooting schedule for a film production.
- Produce production paperwork that needs to be submitted to the film’s producer.
- Oversee the hiring of locations, props, production equipment within the production’s requirement and budget.
- Supervise the cast and crew on set to ensure that the production progresses according to the production schedule.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained and procedures are followed on a film set in accordance with workplace and safety requirements.
